Sculpy and Sculpting.

Sculpy:
You can purchase Sculpy at almost any department
store or hobby shop. Sculpy comes a plain neutral color
, you can however buy Sculpy III in many colors. It is
soft like clay but hardens when baked or boiled.

Sculpting:
Start by playing with Sculpy. Make balls, circles, tubes
and triangles. It's best to use your hands to do most of
the sculpting, but you will also need a few tools. Try using
an x-acto knife, pins, wooden sticks and plastic sculpting tools
(you can get these when you buy the sculpy).

Hardening Sculpy:

"Baking Sculpy":
This is best used when you are making something to be added
to the figure after it is cured (horns, tusk) and any accessory
(weapons, cane). Just follow the directions on the package of Sculpy.
This method makes the Sculpy very hard and durable. You can sand and
drill Sculpy hardened this way.

"Boiling Sculpy":
This is the best way to harden sculpy when it is already on the
figure (features on the head or body). Put a pan deep enough to
Submerge the part to be hardened on the stove. Bring water in
the pan to a boil, reduce heat slightly to keep it from boiling
over. Put the Sculpy covered part into the water (BE CAREFUL AS
THE STEAM CAN BURN). Hold the part in the water for 2 min and
then remove. Check with your finger to see if the Sculpy has
hardened. Repeat if necessary. You will want to cover any parts
hardened by boiling with a very thin layer of superglue as this
will help protect it. Sculpy hardened by boiling is brittle and
can not be sanded (very carefully if at all) or drilled.
